My first real full face helmet was made by bilt motorcycle helmets and I still own it. It is a full face helmet that has a front and top ventilation system, comfortable to wear and beautiful with red colorful graphics. This helmet was bought shortly after I bought my Harley Davidson half helmet during my classes to learn how to ride. I bought it after learning about the safety features and learned a full face helmet provides full protection. But this is not to say that the half helmet is no longer used,  I use it when the weather is pleasant and warm.

I purchased the Bilt motorcycle helmet in New Jersey at Cycle Gear from the recommendations of the sales person. I had come into the store to purchase a different helmet but bought this one because of the safety features and affordability.

The reason I bought this helmet at cycle gear was because the sales people were friendly and knowledgeable in their products. I mean I hate it when you go into a store and the sales person has no clue on product features,  you do not have to be an expert in this line of helmets, but you should be in touch with the features. They told me that this helmet was for oval shaped heads and the ventilation was adequate for the daily rider in all sorts of riding weather. So I tried it on and it was a good fit and purchased it because of all the safety features and a good price. But, was it a good buy?

A Good Buy?

At $80.00,

Pros:

• The fit was snug and comfortable
• It has a clear shield
• Ventilation in the chin and forehead
• lightweight
• Strong construction

Cons:

• It gets hot at when you a stop in the heat
• It fogs up in the winter
• No pin-lock available
• Good driver visibility
• Padding is average

Would I buy it again?

Would I buy this helmet again knowing what I know now about helmets, yes, I would because it is a great buy for the money. If you need another helmet but do not want to break the bank then buy it. If you know someone who starting to ride a motorcycle and they need a helmet, recommend it! It is a great priced helmet with 2 high level certifications, lightweight and comes in different colors.

I recommend you buy this helmet at Here because it will be worth it. When I bought the helmet it cost me $80.00 with the discounts and now you can purchase this helmet for $69.99
Today, it is my go to helmet and I still use it when I go riding in the winter or summer. I love the way it feels on my head and the ventilation is fine. I added reflectors, 2 in the front, and 2 in the side/back, and I added a no fog lens on the visor and it works. So if you need a safe, reliable helmet at a great price look into buying the bilt racer motorcycle helmet.
